Job Overview:
Type of position: temporary part-time (2 days per week for 3 months with possibility of extension)

We are looking for an Administrative Officer for the Financial Resources Department. The incumbent is responsible for processing assigned accounts payable and accounting activities. Within the accounting department, the administrative agent assumes autonomous responsibility for the coordination and quality control of a range of administrative and office automation tasks. In addition, he/she performs a range of complex administrative tasks, such as analyses, reports and complex calculations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Code payment requests and invoices and enter them into the computer system in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Deposit cheques.
- Prepare and follow up on invoices.
- Reconcile accounts payable.
- Produce reports and statistics related to accounts payable.
- Participate in year-end and audit activities.

Qualifications:

- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in accounting or any other combination of training and experience judged equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate)
- Knowledge of Lawson software - an asset
- Fluency in French written and spoken; capacity to communicate in English is required in order to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients and/or stakeholders.

**Salary**: $22.54 - $26 per hour according to years of experience.
