Bramblewood Montessori Coquitlam is seeking an energetic and motivated individuals lead our summer camp for children in Grades 1 to 5.

Bramblewood Montessori Coquitlam has been serving the Coquitlam area for over 25 years and we take great pride in providing high quality care and attention to the children of Bramblewood Montessori.

The Summer Camp coordinator will be responsible for planning activities and supervising participants. You will ensure the safety and well-being of participants, and will communicate and work cooperatively with participants, parents, and other program staff.

The programme runs on weekdays for eight weeks and you will need to be available for the duration of the program.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Facilitate and lead creative, active and engaging weekly camp programmes, including a variety of activities, games, sports, and crafts, appropriate to the age and theme of the camps
- Supervise participants directly, maintaining leader-to-participant ratio at all times
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants by maintaining the program space, implementing safe practices and leading well organized activities.

Qualifications:

- Age 19 or older
- Completion of Grade 12
- Responsible Adult Certificate, ECEA, or ECE
- Legally allowed to work in Canada with children
- Experience working with children and youth in a childcare, recreational or instructional setting
- A general working knowledge of sports, social activities, arts, crafts and special events of particular interest to today's youth.
- Understanding of age group characteristics, traits and the ability to adapt programmes.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to establish rapport with various age groups.
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
