Qualifications:
Essential:

- Professional accounting designation (such as CA, CGA, CMA, CPA), or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.
- Experience in financial management, budgets, cash flow, variance reporting and financial control.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience interpreting and implementing financial and administrative policies, procedures and regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to manage conflict and build and maintain strong partnerships with various stakeholders.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and exercise initiative in a complex work environment with competing demands.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience in maintaining and using a financial accounting program, including setting up and maintaining chart of accounts, general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Experience with financial reporting including developing, analyzing, interpreting and reconciling financial reports.
- Written communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise documents.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver technical financial information to individuals at various levels.

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Analyst is accountable for supporting a full range of financial planning, management and comptrollership services for funded child and family services agencies. The Financial Analyst develops, monitors, evaluates and reports to General Authority management on the financial position of agencies in an accurate, timely, reliable and consistent manner to facilitate management planning and decision-making.

The Financial Analyst serves in a resource capacity to General Authority management and participates in the development and performance of financial, operational, and comprehensive audits for the General Authority and its agencies as it relates to the comptrollership function. The incumbent assists in the development and maintenance of sound financial systems and controls to ensure accountability of public funds and reliable and timely management of information. The Financial Analyst provides financial planning services that lead to the allocation of equitable and adequate funding to external service agencies, within available resources and in accordance with program priorities of the Authorities.
Serves as the first point of contact with the agencies for the identification and resolution of concerns relating to child maintenance billings, and for providing agencies with financial policy information and advice. Represents the General Authority on committees that involve Authority and agency-related issues.
