SUMMARY OF TASKS

The Manager will be responsible for performing and supervising month-end closing, weekly operation reporting, period end inventory controls and other ad-hoc tasks. The Manager is responsible for the supervision, training, and professional development of a team of cost accountants.

The Manager will be a key support for the Plant Administration and Operational Stakeholders through financial reporting, budget process and forecasting.

RESPONSABILITIES
- Coordinate month-end closing with various manufacturing facilities to ensure proper cut-off and the performance of internal financial controls;
- Perform weekly and monthly variance analysis on raw material, overhead and labor variances to budgets;
- Prepare financial statements for a manufacturing facility;
- Manage the annual budget process for a group of manufacturing facilities;
- Oversee the financial close of various operating manufacturing facilities;
- Manage internal controls and inventory requirements;
- Primary finance partner for Plant Administration and Operational Stakeholders;
- Analyze variances on cost of milk and all ingredients related to manufacturing;
- Prepare financial and production statistics;
- Perform other related ad-hoc duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in accounting, CPA title or in process of obtaining;
- 7 to 10 years of experience in manager level, financial analysis or a similar position in industry;
- Management accounting experience in the manufacturing sector (asset);
- Bilingualism (French and English) is essential; the Manager Cost accounting will need to communicate and collaborate daily with plants admin teams across Canada in English as 75% of the facilities are outside Quebec.
- Availability to travel occasionally to Canadian manufacturing facilities;
- Very good proficiency in Excel;
- Knowledge of BI, Maestro and SAP (asset);
- Good sense of organization and planning;
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
