Manager, Financial Cost Analysis

- Responsabilities:
- Work closely with Costing Analyst in Mississauga to monitor daily activities at the hub, capturing data on every movement and operational process.
- Supervise detailed data collection on operational activities, including those currently overlooked, to provide a complete picture of the hub's performance.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure the reliability of operating results by analyzing key indicators, including progress and incurred expenses, remaining expenses, quantities implemented, key ratios, equipment, staffing, and hourly staff.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to the finance team, highlighting operational insights, cost impacts, and efficiency gains.
- Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Provide guidance and support to the team on cost management best practices.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with the team and other stakeholders to keep projects and communications on track and aligned with business goals.
- Promote continuous improvements in processes and cost reporting through automation while ensuring integrity and accuracy of the outputs.
- Develop annual costing assumptions for standards, and year over year variance analysis.
- Support procurement with cost savings projects, and validate savings
- Provide strategic recommendations based on analyses, contributing to informed decision-making processes that drive project success.
Qualifications:
- University degree in accounting or finance. CPA/MBA an asset.
- 4 - 6 years of costing experience
- Strong product costing technical skills with strong focus on continuous process and system improvement
- High analytical and problem-solving skills
- Action oriented and results oriented, ability to roll up the sleeves and own deliverables
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks.
- Strong listening skills and synthesis abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence and effectively interact with senior leadership and communicate with all levels of management.
