**About you**

You are someone with a college diploma or university degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent experience. You have a minimum of two years of experience in accounting and finance. You are someone with great communication skills, technical knowledge of finance and accounting, give attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks are also critical for success in this role. You are someone self-motivated, confident and familiar with Dynamics GL. Fluency in English is required. Your fluency in French and knowledge of international banking practice are a plus.

**About the role**

This is a six months role where you will be reporting to Senior Finance Officer, Corporate Accounting. In this role, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Officer to join our team. The overall purpose of the position is to contribute to the day-to-day and monthly operational accounting function and provide analytical and technical support to the Corporate Accounting team. This position will support the administrative finance function for Headquarters (HQ).
** Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Prepare and process accounts payable entries for operational payments, wires and direct deposits, and purchase orders.
- Maintain and update the capital asset sub-ledgers and reconcile various balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile corporate credit cards, review and verify staff expense reports, and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Prepare various month-end journal entries, including petty cash, depreciation, and interest accruals. Assist in the preparation of year-end worksheets and account analysis for audits.
- Generate ad hoc reports, perform analysis, and reconcile as needed.
- Other duties as required.
