**The Opportunity**
The Information Technology Services department has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to become a Spatial Data & Application Team Lead. This full-time position would be filled Temporarily, up to 18 months.
Reporting to the Manager, Data & Application Services, this position will be responsible for leading the Corporate Spatial Data and Application team and stewarding the City’s Enterprise GIS environment.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Directing and supervising a team of Analysts and Technicians, including executing performance management, scheduling, and other supervisory duties
- Leading and overseeing the development and delivery of GIS team’s strategic, tactical, project, and operational plans;
- Working with partner departments to identify new services or service improvements;
- Prioritizing and coordinating various customer requests to ensure that service delivery commitments are met;
- Advancing spatial data architecture maturity within the organization;
- And leading the Open Data Program to identify and implement technologies.
**Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Geography, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience providing location intelligence (GIS) services, preferably in a municipal government setting.
- Alternately, a combination of an advanced diploma and seven (7) years of progressive GIS experience may be considered.
- Supervisory skill and experience
- Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designations would be an asset.
- Experience with the ArcGIS suite of products is an asset.
**Hours of Work**
We offer a compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly, Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00, with a biweekly regular day off (RDO).

**Compensation**
$88,994 - $109,530 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive benefit package.
