**Job Posting**
- Reporting to the Team Lead, Business Applications, the Application Administrator provides a broad range of technical services in support of HRM’s ServiceNow platform. These services include planning, design, development, configuration, implementation, maintenance, security, enhancements, and upgrades. These services may be performed independently or within a team or project structure. All work is conducted following established methodologies and change/release management procedures, at all times respecting the confidential nature of the work.- **QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education and Experience**:

- Post secondary degree in Computer Science, OR post-secondary degree in a related field and minimum one year of formal software development.
- Minimum five years' experience in the Information Technology field.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience designing, developing and troubleshooting within ServiceNow.
- Experience with software implementation on a core or extended team.
- Travel within the municipality to meet with business unit staff is expected; access to a personal vehicle and a valid NS driver’s license is required.
- Experience with software development is considered an asset.

**Technical / Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Business orientation, including broad experience in service delivery and support in a multi departmental business environment and/or the public sector.
- Ability to program in JavaScript.
- A working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Change Management, Release Management, and software development concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, define business requirements, identify risks, and determine options.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Consensus building and conflict resolution skills.
- Presentation and training experience.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage information systems in a government environment or similar work situation.
- Strong sense of teamwork and ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and maintain high degree of professional work performance.
- Proven ability to foster and manage strong working relationships with a broad and varied group of clients, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
- Strong working knowledge of business analysis methods such as process and data mapping.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet project deadlines.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- **WORK STATUS**:Permanent, full-time.
- **HOURS OF WORK**:Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm; 35 hours per week. Work outside of regular office hours (including weekends) will occasionally be required.
- **SALARY**:IS Level 6; $51.35 per hour as per the NSGEU Local 222 collective agreement
- **WORK LOCATION**:13th Floor Barrington Tower, Halifax, NS
