The Canadian Press is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our team in a 15-month contract position reporting to the Director of Marketing and located in Toronto. **OUR MISSION**

The Canadian Press is Canada's bilingual national news agency, trusted by leading media brands to deliver fast, accurate and impartial reporting for more than 100 years. Our Sales & Marketing team is responsible for promoting, selling and providing customer service for a growing suite of solutions, including:

- **Licensed news content** (articles, photos, graphics, video, audio) used by clients such as The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, La Presse, CTV, CBC, Yahoo, MSN and many more;
- **Branded content** (blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, photos, video, infographics), tailor made for each client's exclusive use in their content marketing program; and,
- **CP style webinars, workshops and books **on writing and editing.

For organizations looking to earn media coverage and anticipate potential crises, we also provide Canada's only **_media forecasting_** platform, alerting them in_ real time_ to CP wire stories that will be published imminently by countless websites, or that are likely to appear in _tonight_'s radio/TV newscasts and/or _tomorrow_'s newspapers.

We're revolutionizing this flagship platform and seeking a Digital Marketing Manager with experience developing and leading a content marketing program that generates awareness and demand among the Canadian public relations and communications community.

**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**

Are you an excellent storyteller and content marketer, eager to join a dynamic team that's at the heart of CP's revenue generation, customer service and product development initiatives? Are you excited about helping to drive client acquisition and retention by creating content that converts customers at each stage of the sales and marketing funnel?

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in planning, building, launching and optimizing our content marketing program, especially as it relates to our next generation of PR products, starting with the relaunch of our media forecasting platform.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan, budget, implement, measure and optimize campaigns focused on acquiring new clients and driving sales from current clients.
- Improve lead conversion rates that grow the pipeline with qualified sales opportunities and nurture leads through every stage of the funnel.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a digital marketing or content marketing role is required, preferably at B2B SaaS companies.
- Experience in industries that serve PR, marketing, communications and social media professionals is preferred, especially related to promoting media monitoring tools.
- Experience driving audience acquisition for a news website is an asset.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills in English are required with a strong eye for design. Verbal and written communications skills in French are an asset.
- Customer-oriented and analytical, adept at strategic and creative thinking, problem-solving and decision making.
- Fast learner who takes initiative and works well both independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.
- University or college business commerce degree with a focus on marketing.
