The role
Freedom is on the lookout for a Marketing Manager to join our growing team, supported by the Director, Customer Marketing. They will be responsible for creation, delivery and optimization of the marketing campaigns that drive the growth and retention of our customer base.

About you
- You are creative, innovative and enjoy working independently just as much as with others.
- You have a deep understanding of the campaign development processes - no matter the tactic, you know how to understand a business need & opportunity, create a communication strategy, write a design brief (and sometimes copy), consistently deliver a flawless campaign and analyze the campaign results.
- You live for continuous improvements - whether it’s content, positioning, digital flows, operational processes.
- You are curious - always asking questions and learning.
- Most importantly, you are proactive, positive, and passionate about customer experience.

A typical day
Marketing Campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure campaigns are compelling, personalized, and frictionless.
- Improve the quality of campaigns through A/B testing or by employing a data-informed approach to identify customer pain points; then create and implement solutions to address them.
- Ensure all marketing programs are developed and delivered in accordance with Legal and CASL requirements.
- Proactively identify campaign risks and implement plans to mitigate them.
- Analyze campaign effectiveness and share learnings across the team.
- Advise & participate in the campaign & resource planning process.

Growth & Development
- Track, monitor and evaluate marketplace activities with respect to customer communications. Assessing impacts and making recommendations.
- Advise & participate in the advancement of marketing capabilities.
- Proactively identify opportunities optimize campaign processes.
- Special projects.

Your skills/experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Customer Marketing, or in a similar role.
- Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing.
- Consistently entrusted with leading all aspects of campaign planning, ideation, and flawless delivery due to your high attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven success in building strong working relationships in large matrix organizations.
- Desire to continuously learn and improve what we do and how we do it.
- Advertising agency experience is an asset

Other details
- This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and background check.
- This is a 12-month maternity leave contract, with the possibility for extension.
- Preferred location is our Freedom Mobile office in Toronto, ON.
