Accounting Supervisor

**JOB SUMMARY**
To perform various accounting functions which support company goals and objectives in compliance with departmental and corporate procedures.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Duties include a wide range of hands-on activities to provide for the recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial transactions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare month end closing for preparation of financials
- Reconcile monthly General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts
- Prepare schedules for auditors
- Working with US accounting staff to coordinate reconciliation and payment of intercompany accounts
- Prepare cash flows and projections for management
- Prepare aging of Accounts Receivable and Payable analysis
- Review credits and refunds
- New vendor credit references
- Reconcile PayPal and Credit Card purchases
- GST/HST/PST sales tax reporting and filing
- Review vendor payments ( cheque / ACH / Credit Cards / Wire )
- Other general accounting tasks, daily reports and special projects
- Mentor regional accounting staff

**Required Skills**:

- Knowledge of accounting
- Epertise with Excel spreadsheets
- Detail Oriented
- Problem solving abilities
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude

**Required Experience**
- Accounting background with 5 to 7 years’ experience.
- Supervisory experience for 1-2 years
- CPA/CA would be a plus but not required
- Accounting Diploma or BS degree in Accounting or Business
- Knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 a plus but not essential
