Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of Ontario Transportation rules and regulations. Experience in record keeping, hours of service, logbooks, and maintenance records.
- Some experience with direct supervision over a crew or team of employees.
- Good mechanical and problemsolving skills.
- Experience with heavy machinery operation, including forklifts, trucks, and skid steers.
- Available to help after hours, and on weekends and holidays during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to do physical work as required; able and willing to get hands dirty to get the job done.
- Knowledge of MOL rules and regulations, safety requirements in the warehouse and on job sites is a must.
- Ability to host toolbox safety meetings.
- Ability to "rally the troops", work shouldertoshoulder as required, and act as a leader and mentor for all field and shop staff.
- Ability to perform inventory counts. Anticipation of shortfalls and working closely with other branches to ensure maximization of efficiency.
- Must have a clean driver's abstract and own transportation to and from facilities
- Ability to understand, follow, and participate in the budgeting process.
- Ability to get along with peers, management, clients, sales, and general staff.
- Follow directions as given.
