Outside Sales Representative

Summit Truck Equipment a fast-growing company with lots of potential to advance within. We operate out of Ontario and Alberta selling, renting and financing Hydrovacs while providing parts and service across Canada.
The Outside Salesperson is a high-energy self-starter responsible for maintaining existing business relationships and developing new relationships. He or she will be highly knowledgeable about all Summit Truck Equipment products and services while exhibiting the highest degree of customer service.
As the Outside Salesperson, you will be responsible for driving business growth by selling our products and services to new and existing customers. You will utilize your sales expertise to identify opportunities, build relationships, negotiate contracts, and achieve sales targets. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling
- Generate profitable revenue growth through establishing new customers, penetrating new customer accounts and retaining those customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers to maximize profitability
- Aggressively sell all products in a professional manner
- Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues
- Demonstrate the quality and reliability of Summit Truck Equipment products by maintaining familiarity with all areas of the business including all parts, service, sales, rentals, finance and warranty provided
- Demonstrate how to use and operate the Hydrovac Truck for customers, which may require demonstrations in the field
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
- Always exemplify a professional appearance and attitude
- Complete assigned tasks within budget
- Learn how to drive and operate the Hydrovac Truck
- Other duties as assigned
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:
- Proven experience in outside sales preferably oilfield, civil or Hydrovac sales role (_**retail will not be considered)**_
- Valid driver's license (Class 3 or DZ) with the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment and a good standing MVR
- Truck and mechanical experience knowledge are required
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with customers
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Successful track record of developing relationships and closing sales
- Direct industry experience selling heavy-duty truck parts through distribution and/or directly to the end user
- Excellent verbal and communication skills and detail oriented
- Must learn how to drive the truck and operate the Hydrovac unit
- Willingness to get dirty in the field when demonstrating Hydrovac operations
- Must be able to drive the Hydrovac Truck to customers for demonstrations
- Hydrovac/Hydraulic experience a plus.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES**:
- Perform ride along with potential buyers
- Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Climbing in and out of vehicles
- Occasional stooping and bending
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs
- Normal range of hearing and vision
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
