**VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - ADULT SERVICES (0.6 FTE)**

**THE ROLE**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer program that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and lead volunteer recruitment efforts within JCFS through publicity and outreach
- Research, update, and maintain volunteer information within agency, including volunteer plan, training documents, volunteer roles, volunteer manual, et cetera
- Plan and deliver initial training, ongoing training, and mentorship to all volunteers
- Maintain and update all volunteer management information, including active volunteer database, statistics, et cetera
- Ensure all paperwork requirements are kept up to date, including volunteer files, reporting, and database notes
- Place and support volunteers within different roles at JCFS
- Foster a positive environment that encourages volunteer engagement and retention through recognition programs and feedback mechanisms
- Plan and deliver specialized events such as Volunteer Appreciation Day, Volunteer Recruitment Drive, et cetera
- Liaise with JCFS departments on volunteer placement needs and on current volunteer experience
- Research and plan specialized volunteer programs within JCFS
- Other duties as required

**YOUR FIT**:

- Volunteer Management Certificate or equivalent strongly preferred
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in relevant field
- 3 - 5 years of experience working directly with volunteers
- Experience in program planning, recruitment, and administration
- Excellent time management, coordination, and organization skills
- Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to various audiences
- Able to manage a schedule of 21 hours per week
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license required, access to a reliable vehicle, and clean driver’s abstract
- Knowledge of the Winnipeg Jewish community is considered an asset
- Fluent in an additional language, such as Russian, Hebrew, French, or Spanish, is considered an asset
- Note: This position is for a 3-year contract, and will be for 21 hours per week dependent on funding_
