Canada West Land has an opportunity for an Indigenous Relations Liaison to join our team. You will combine your people-skills, organization, and analytical thinking to provide support to the implementation of the operational and project assessment agreements in place with Indigenous Governments and Organizations.

The role will be based out of our Calgary, Alberta office and is a permanent, full-time position.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Actively engage in ongoing learning and development to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with Indigenous Relations Team Lead on projects.
- Complete required site visits
- Develop and submit reports for regulatory compliance.
- Inform and educate our clients of issues in the field when they arise.
- Participate in and contribute to the proposal process, if applicable, including budget, scope and schedule.
- Provide feedback to the project leaders regarding field files, file status and progress.
- Provide guidance to clients on Aboriginal Consultation Office process and First Nations process and expectations.
- Relay project specific timelines and information to the client when required.
- Working with Land Agents to monitor field operations and communications.
- 1 to 3 years of experience with Indigenous Relations focus
- University or college education preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience and understanding of oil and gas, forestry, municipal/government administration, or small business management an asset.
- Land agent or analyst experience an asset.
- Familiarity with the Aboriginal Consultation Office and completion of documentation
- Able to travel to sites as required.
- Commitment to a high standard of work and care for client satisfaction
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Indigenous Relations
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
