As a Strategy Liaison, you will support the convening and facilitation of select Council Boards, Committees and Commissions (BCCs) and community/sector leadership groups. You will establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners. Primary duties include: Support the implementation of action plans related to social strategies, programs or projects. Support multi-sectoral collaborations or advisory committees to develop and advance their workplans. Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners. Organize, schedule and facilitate online and in-person meetings, information sessions and events. Develop detailed committee agendas in line with meeting goals and in collaboration with committee members. Draft progress updates and meeting minutes as needed for leadership and partners. Provide technical support during virtual committee meetings, information sessions and live events. Develop and maintain risk and issue management logs including mitigation strategies. Create and review content for communications tactics, including website updates and newsletters. Qualifications A degree in Social Science (for example: Sociology, Social work, Public Administration) or related field. At least 3 years of experience in strategy development and/or implementation or convening/maintaining partner relations. A strong knowledge of, or experience working with, removing barriers, and supporting equity-deserving groups (for example: women, Indigenous People, persons with disabilities, persons who are economically disadvantaged, members of racialized groups, members of 2SLGBTQIA+ etc.) is required. Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft programs (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is an asset. Experience supporting multi-partner collaborations to meet a goal or respond to an issue is an asset. Knowledge of and experience working with social service, education, health, or justice sectors, government, lived-experience networks or collaboratives is considered an asset. Success in this position requires political acumen, good judgement, strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work on a team in a changing and political environment.
