**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the full payroll cycle, including processing payrolls, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all payroll-related regulations.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, including managing employee benefit plans, maintaining records, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Manage recruitment and hiring processes, including creating job descriptions, posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Employment Standards Act, the Human Rights Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the college's mission and values.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and attendance records.
- Manage the HR budget, including forecasting and reporting on HR-related expenses.
- Participate in college-wide initiatives and projects as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a human resources management role, including experience managing payroll.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Alberta.
- Working experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system is an asset.
- Experience working in a private career college environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
