We are currently seeking a **Construction Manager**to join our team and support major projects for our clients in Edmonton.

**YOUR MISSIONS**:
**Leadership and Supervision**
- Provide leadership in construction management to the project team.
- Responsible for the day-to-day direction and supervision of on-site contractors and other field resources supporting the construction management of the project.
- Main contact between operations and the contractor.

**Scheduling and Coordination**
- Review contractors' schedules, including forward planning with the contractor to ensure that overall project schedules are being met.
- Respect and manage the various deadlines imposed on the schedule.
- Coordinate with operations all the stops necessary for the execution of the work.

**Risk and Issue Management**
- Identify and communicate risks to the project manager.
- Work with the project management team to understand, analyze, and manage risks.
- Inform the Project Manager of any delay or problem in construction activities.

**Technical and Scope Management**
- Responsible for resolving any technical problems.
- Ensure that the project follows the stated strategies and plans, ensuring that codes, standards, regulations, policies, procedures, and contractual requirements are met.
- Work with the project manager and the client to manage decisions to modify the scope of work.
- Ensures design and specification compliance.

**Cost and Progress Monitoring**
- Monitor the cost of the project.
- Assistance in the preparation, assembly, and rotation of completed work to the client.

**Health, Safety, and Quality**
- Show leadership in occupational health and safety.
- Has the role of occupational health and safety advisor, monitoring the contractor's site activities to ensure they align with the health and safety plan.
- Holds the role of Quality Supervisor.

**IDEAL CANDIDATE**:

- Min. 10+ years’ experience as in a relevant role;
- Min 10 years’ experience in heavy industry sector;
- Health and Safety is your n1 focus;
- Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
- Good Customer relations.
- Strong ability to influence people, building trust and credibility.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance
