**Internal Communications Coordinator - 18 month contract (Hybrid work arrangement**)**

At OTIP, all contracts of at least 12 months are eligible for health and dental benefits, paid sick days, paid vacation days, and optional enrollment into our Defined Benefit Pension Plan.

**Job Description**:
**What you will do**:

- Reviews internal communications by proofreading and editing documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand and corporate standards.
- Assists the internal communications team to write, post, and maintain content on the corporate intranet.
- Works with the internal communications manager to support corporate and human resource initiatives and projects across the business.
- Supports the planning and implementation of employee events.
- Assists with the roll-out of internal communication and engagement campaigns.
- Assists with the development of internal videos including script writing, recording and editing video.
- Applies basic design skills and/or provides creative direction to a graphic designer to create collateral as required.
- Supports the maintenance of corporate communications’ processes, templates, and tools.
- Ensures consistency and integrity of the OTIP group of companies’ brands across internal communications, including assisting with the roll-out and maintenance of the corporate proofreading program.

**Qualifications**:
**What you will bring**:

- One to three years’ experience in a communications-related role.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, including proficiency in the use of the Canadian Press style guide.
- Experience with video creation and editing programs.
- Superior time-management, project-management and organizational skills to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive issues with skill, tact and diplomacy.
- Able to synthesize complex information, understand the needs and interests of target audiences, define and articulate messages and generate effective and compelling content for a variety of scenarios and platforms.
- A demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external clientele.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office required, InDesign/Photoshop an asset)
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and/or the Ontario educational system is considered an asset.
- The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
