**Location - **This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus Edmonton.

**Working for the Department/Faculty**

The Asset Information and Analysis unit is one part of the Integrated Planning, Development, and Partnerships department that supports the work management and other systems of Facilities & Operations. We enable team members across F&O to work efficiently and effectively by managing and tracking operational data within the portfolio.

**Position**

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Asset System within VP of Facilities and Operations, the Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position involves analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements for enterprise-level systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. The Business Analyst collaborates with Units within F&O units, colleges, Faculties, Shared Services Units and external partners across the campuses to identify business challenges, opportunities, and recommends effective solutions to enhance system functionality. The Business Analyst exercises autonomy and demonstrates leadership to team members in projects. The Business Analyst is a catalyst for new growth by leading mid to large-scale initiatives, business process re-engineering, and continuous service improvement efforts for the university.

**Duties**
- Leads medium to large scale multi-disciplinary initiatives.
- Analyzes business requirements and translates those requirements into a business process. Works closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into system solutions.
- Develops and articulates proposals on process changes based on research and data analysis.
- Ensure that solutions align with industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Provides expert guidance, advice and training on business process mapping and business analysis.
- Manage and lead enterprise level projects from initialization to completion.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across business units.
- Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames.
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressing increasing responsibility in either a systems analyst or business analyst role.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience working with Enterprise Asset Systems as a system analyst or business analyst.
- Demonstrate the ability to build relationships, communicate, influence, advocate, and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Previous experience in software development and data warehouse development would be an asset.
