OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE
Portray character and object movements and behaviours, and tie them together with gameplay and visual storytelling

**RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Works with the Principal Animator to design and implement the needed gameplay animations
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of animation principles such as weight, balance, inertia, and posing
- Understanding of motion, acting, and timing
- Ensures animations meet technical and visual quality standards
- Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to resolve technical and/or design issues
- Constantly evaluates the animation pipeline for improvement
- Adjusts and refines animation as indicated by the Art Director, Principal Animator and/or Senior Animator
- Participate as a proactive team member to further team and project goals
- Assist with Unreal hook ups within motion trees, character components, blend spaces etc.
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities as requested

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3+ years’ experience in animation in a game development environment.
- A diploma/degree or equivalent in 3D animation
- Proficient with standard animation tools such as Maya, 3D StudioMax and MotionBuilder
- Highly motivated, self-driven problem solver with strong attention to details
- Strong ability to accept direction and constructive criticism objectively
- Proven track record to complete work within deadlines while maintaining constant communication with team
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in fast-paced work environment while maintaining high quality results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
