**SUMMARY**
The Finance Officer will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions in accordance with policies and procedures. The Finance Officer will also support process improvements. You will collaborate with the Finance team providing superior service across the organization.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee the accounts payable functions
- Review credit card transactions and employee expense claims, ensuring adherence to policies, the accuracy of coding and completeness of supporting documentation.
- Review journal entries prepared by the Finance, Co-coordinator
- Prepare monthly accrual entries
- Prepare donation and other deposit entries
- Review bank statements and prepare all bank entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding reconciling items
- Prepare biweekly payroll entries
- Prepare monthly payroll account reconciliations and month end schedules
- Maintain prepaid expense schedule and backup
- Maintain capital asset continuity schedule, back up for additions and prepare monthly amortization entries
- Maintain investment schedules and prepare monthly and quarterly entries
- Assist in the analyses to support financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of year-end schedules and audit file
- Prepare all CPCH Foundation’s transactions and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Complete administration tasks and other duties, as assigned.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, degree or diploma in accounting or comparative combination of relevant education and experience
- Payroll knowledge and experience is an asset
**QUALIFICATIONS**

- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a collaborative team member and establish and maintain positive working relationships, both internally and externally
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with Sage 300 or NetSuite, Sage APA (Beanworks), Vena, UKG-Pro, UKG-Dimensions would be an asset
