**Position Description**:

- The Program Coordinator, Clinical Engagements will facilitate how the voices of those who benefit from the care conducted by SickKids are heard and brought to various initiatives across the organization. The program coordinator will be responsible for liaising with the SickKids community and Partners across organization to embed the perspectives of patients, families, and community members in everything we do and drive innovation forward in a way that is authentic and meaningful to patients, families, and communities. A person who thrives on building authentic and meaningful relationships, we seek someone focused on advancing how we listen to our community and improve the quality of research, education and care provided at SickKids.**Here's What You Will Get to Do**:

- Develop and manage patient and family advisory committees, including recruitment, onboarding and training of patient and family advisors from across Canada.
- Liaising with the SickKids community and Partners across SickKids¿ communities including front line staff, department leads, research teams, and senior leadership, to embed the perspectives of patients, families, and community members in research.
- Support day-to-day patient engagement activities including arranging meetings, tracking partners¿ hours, and providing reimbursements.
- Promote and support patient engagement and child and family centred-care practices throughout SickKids.
- Collaborate with patients, family caregivers, community leaders, and SickKids staff to:

- o Identify opportunities for patient and family Partnerships,- o Develop tools to support engagement in research,- o Establish and coordinate governance structures and processes,- o Develop and deliver communications, and- o Prepare key performance indicators and reports for leadership.**Here¿s What You Will Need**:

- Minimum 3 years of administrative, coordinator and/or project management experience.
- Outstanding ability to interact with, engage, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders including patients, family caregivers, healthcare practitioners, and researchers.
- Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives.
- Expertise in business writing including policies and procedures, standards, reports, and designing and delivering presentations.
- Outstanding collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Zoom, Teams, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience as a patient and/or family research advisor within a healthcare and/or child health organization is highly desired.
- Strong knowledge of concepts, values, and theory related to patient engagement in health research and/or healthcare are an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives
