Accounts Payable Clerk

**Position: Accounts Payable Clerk**
**General duties**:
**As a member of a professional and growing real estate management company, you will be responsible to prioritize, coordinate, and organize business tasks. You will have a positive, professional approach in planning, scheduling, communicating, and organizing the activities of your position. You will work in collaboration with Senior Management and Accountants, and as such, must be able to develop an understanding of the nature of their work and relationships in order to anticipate their needs. The day to day role is as follows but is not limited to**:
- **Accounts payable maintenance: code and post all payables, cheque requisitions, process cheque runs, reconciliation of vendor statements, EFT payments, chequebook maintenance**:
- **General assistance to accounting department**:
- **Perform related clerical duties, such as maintaining filing and record systems.**
**Education requirements**:
- **Post-secondary diploma or certificate in accounting/business administration**
**Experience required**:
- **Minimum 1 year in a similar function**:
- **Basic accounting skills**:
- **Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office**:
- **Working knowledge of Yardi Software would be considered an asset**:
- **Superior organizational skills, ability to multi-task with an eye for detail**:
- **Strong interpersonal communication skills, displaying initiative and problem solving abilities**:
- **Personable, pleasant demeanor**
