ROLE SUMMARY:
You will also support Senior Legal Counsel and other members of the Legal and Corporate Affairs team with special projects, step-up initiatives, compliance due diligence, the implementation of new policies and procedures, legal and compliance trainings, tracking and monitoring, records management, compliance-related investigations, and other duties as instructed or required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Reporting to Senior Legal Counsel in the Toronto Office, specific responsibilities will include:

- Managing all routine aspects of Labatt’s Ethics & Compliance program, including: generating presentations, reports, trainings, and tools to support program deliverables, anti-bribery and anti-corruption monitoring, vendor due diligence, internal compliance reporting, conflict of interest management, Code of Business Conduct awareness and trainings, implementation and maintenance of Ethics & Compliance-related policies, interfacing with the Global and North America Zone Ethics & Compliance functions on Global
- and Zone-led initiatives, compliance-related investigations using digital tools and capabilities, managing translations of all policies, trainings, tools, and resources, and performing substantive legal and compliance work required to ensure all Ethics & Compliance annual requirements are met.
- Managing all routine aspects of Labatt’s Privacy & Digital Ethics program, including: generating presentations, reports, trainings, and tools to support program deliverables, using and maintaining a system for tracking, monitoring, and managing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) across all brands and businesses in Canada (including for all subsidiaries and affiliates of Labatt), implementing use of new software platform(s) or system(s) as required, assisting with Privacy and Data Protection Addendums to contracts, assisting with maintenance of protocols, policies, and procedures related to privacy law compliance and privacy incident readiness and response, liaising with IT and Information Security stakeholders throughout Labatt and Anheuser-Busch InBev to ensure implementation of new programs and initiatives, providing guidance and advice to stakeholders throughout the company in Canada and globally on the collection, use, disclosure, storage, and transfer of Canadian Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and other types of sensitive data, keeping all relevant stakeholders up to date on changes to privacy law and regulation in Canada, and performing substantive legal and compliance work required to ensure all Privacy & Digital Ethics annual requirements and internal controls are met.
- Assist in the development of internal Standard Operating Procedures and workflows within the Legal and Ethics & Compliance team and our cross-functional client teams within your area(s) of responsibility;
- Assist with the integration of new businesses and brands into the Ethics & Compliance and Privacy & Digital Ethics programs and platforms, customizing as required for the needs of the business unit (e.g. Craft breweries, brew pubs, DraftLine, eCommerce, etc.);
- Work with our Internal Communications and Learning & Development Teams to draft, finalize, obtain approval for, and cascade communications and trainings within your area(s) of responsibility and in accordance with approved communications timelines;
- Under the supervision of Labatt’s Marketing Compliance Manager, provide dedicated compliance advice and agile legal support to our in-house, digital-first advertising agency DraftLine, as well as reviews of marketing and advertising programs, digital assets, new platforms, and innovative concepts in real time as required;
