**Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for an **Administrative Collections Specialist** **to join our team at our corporate head office.**

This role provides administrative support to our accounts receivable department and works closely with our branches and customers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Process and reconcile incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Action new Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) set up.
- Prepare and distribute special reporting for select accounts.
- Enter accounts receivable data into Excel and maintain accuracy of information.
- Use effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and reduce delinquency rates.
- Contact customers with overdue balances to arrange payment and resolve outstanding issues.
- Maintain accurate records of collection efforts and customer communications in the accounts receivable system.
- Providing timely and accurate information to branch and corporate management for effective management of credit risk.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- High school diploma or other high school equivalence certificate.
- 1 year of accounts receivable experience preferred.
- 6 months of collections experience as an asset.
- Excellent Customer Service skills - dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers primarily over the phone.
- Strong written and verbal skills - ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
- Capable of meeting multiple daily deadlines accurately
- Heavy duty parts knowledge or background an asset.
