**Position**:
- Supervisor, Civil/Earth Works, Nunavut**Location and Reporting Structure**:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Civil / Earth Works, this position will be a fly in
- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the Superintendent, Civil / Earth Works with developing project plans for civil works, encompassing earthworks, utilities installation and drill blast operations;
- Supervise all civil construction and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget;
- Lead the team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure project objectives are met;
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs);
- Analyze and distribute all drawing and blueprint revisions;
- Ensure that all civil works meet quality standards and specifications, conducting regular inspections and quality checks;
- Allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes;
- Confirm civil works activities comply with environmental regulations and implement measures to minimize environmental impact; and
- Adhere to B2Gold Nunavut’s health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
**Desired Competencies and Requirements**:
- Five (5) years’ experience in construction earthworks, preferably in the mining industry with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity overseeing the work of semi-skilled and entry level workers;
- Extensive experience in operating heavy equipment including finishing excavator, wristed twist, hoe pack/ram, dozer, haul truck etc; A Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification is considered an asset;
- A Nunavut WSCC Supervisory Level II qualification, or ability to obtain same; and
- Prior experience working with Indigenous groups in a professional capacity.
**Compensation and Benefits**:
For informational purposes, the annual salary for the role is $135,000.00
