**Your Opportunity**

An opportunity exists for a Financial Analyst with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills. As a key member of the Financial Services team and business partner with operations, the Financial Analyst will provide financial expertise in the day-to-day operations of financial reporting adding value to the company. This opportunity is in Edmonton, Alberta.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Preparing intercompany reconciliations and identifying variances
- Analyzing and coordinating intercompany transfers monthly
- Preparing complex journal entries for intercompany balancing and currency conversions under tight deadlines
- Investigating and following up on intercompany variances
- Communicating with Global entities and providing intercompany guidance
- Preparing other balance sheet account reconciliations as needed
- Assisting in the 5-day period end close process
- Identifying and assisting with the implementation of business processes improvements
- Maintaining process documentation
- Various duties and projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills, including written and oral English language competency.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities and firm deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Proactive
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

**Education and Experience**
- Accounting Diploma or Degree and a minimum of three years' experience working in Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Experience with Oracle or other large Enterprise system is preferred.
- Working towards an Accounting designation is preferred.
