MacEwan University is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst for a full
- time continuing position for our School of Continuing Education.

The Financial Analyst will manage the cost recovery and base budget accounts within the School including revenue generating units such as the Conservatory of Music, SCE International and Professional and Continuing Studies as well as government grants, bursaries and endowment funds.

Key responsibilities include:

- Prepare and monitor budgets for all programs, departments and projects including grants
- Review and analyze financial results, prepare, and review reports with budget holders, regularly verify account balances and investigate discrepancies.
- Develop financial projections and variance analyses, quarterly and otherwise as requested.
- Provide training and assistance to all Faculty and Staff members in completing PeopleSoft purchase requisitions, corporate credit card reconciliations and other expense claims.
- Develop and document processes that support efficient transaction flow, appropriate internal control, and compliance with university financial policy, procedures and timelines, including authorization of expenditures, coding and other documentation as necessary.
- Serve as capital asset manager for the School/Faculty/Division; review requirements with programs and assist with procurement; review capital asset records in PeopleSoft for accuracy and participate in asset counts when required.
- Act as the contact for computer refresh cycles, maintaining records of computer status, reconciling centralized computer status data with the record, and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage HR processes for new hires and handling all contract instructor agreements.
- May be assigned other duties or projects commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a diploma in business, finance or accounting.
- Minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
