Flair Airlines is currently seeking a talented and motivated **Financial Analyst** to join our growing organization, focusing on the vertical of Airport Operations. As a permanent, full-time member of our team based in Edmonton, AB (YEG) you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial success of our airline.

**Position Overview**:
As the Financial Analyst - Airport Operations, you will report directly to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. In this key role, your primary responsibility will be to predict future operational costs by analyzing flight schedules, vendor agreements, and real-time data. Your expertise will ensure accurate financial reporting and provide essential audit support, while also establishing and fostering critical partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.

**Primary Job Functions**:
The duties of the **Financial Analyst - Airport Operations, **include:

- Conduct various period analytics and reporting to monitor operational performance.
- Perform daily monitoring and accounting, adhering to company policies and accounting standards.
- Provide reliable reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned vertical.
- Ensure proper testing and compliance of outside data collection systems with accounting and reporting requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive backup schedules that reconcile to assigned accounts (vendors, revenues, etc.).
- Continuously review and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements to optimize performance.
- Assist with financial audits, including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors.
- Support the Safety Management System (SMS) program through active participation and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.

**Qualifications and Competencies**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or actively working towards it would be advantageous.
- Five (5) years of progressive accounting or analytics experience in a medium-large organization, with at least three (3) years of experience in complex operational analysis.
- Demonstrated self-starter with a strong work ethic, flexibility, and excellent time management skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to encourage entrepreneurial ideas and build consensus across all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in non-technical terms.
- Proficiency in various software programs, including advanced Excel skills.
- Previous experience in the airline industry would be an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must pass a criminal record check and comply with airport security protocols.
