**Main responsibilities**:

- Lead, supervise, mentor and participate the full purchasing cycle and manage a purchasing team of approximately 8 people.
- Implement performance indicators and monitor them to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Define and implement processes for the creation and management of purchase orders.
- Contribute significantly to the development and implementation of systems and tools allowing effective and efficient management of its responsibilities (Ex: New ERP, reports, etc.).
- Implement the procurement strategy and actively participate in the development of the same.
- Participate in the evaluation and maintenance of the supplier base and propose medium and long-term alternatives.
- Ship late purchase orders and support buyers in the process of escalating problems with suppliers.
- Maintain business ties with suppliers and develop a network of professional contacts within your community.
- Optimize inventory levels based on production planning, procurement and inventory rotation.
- Establish systems to ensure inventory monitoring and planning.
- Work closely with the Sales and Programs and Production department to understand customer expectations and internal issues.
- Monitor movements in product demand so that the purchasing process meets new requirements.
- Participate in the development of forecasts to define the prices of subcontracting and products that will be necessary.
- Propose purchasing and supply strategies for services, manage calls for tenders.
- Manage monthly expenses and procurement estimates.

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in operations management or administration, or other appropriate discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a procurement position with at least two (2) years in a supervisory position.
- Practical experience in contract administration, negotiation in a rigorous normative context, complex technical product and process implementation and practice in a context of continuous improvement.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring and technical training of a team on all critical aspects of procurement.
- Experience in aeronautics is a major asset.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic and sustainable initiatives and lead change by engaging people and demonstrating great influence.
- Excellent understanding of how a supply chain works.
- Skills in project management, negotiation, organization, change management.
- Ease of developing good working relationships and clearly established leadership.
- Rigor, sense of organization and priorities, team spirit, creativity.
- Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Mastery of the Office suite, with an advanced Excel level. Experience with an MRP system.
- Bilingualism (English and French) oral and written.
