Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this position will be a strong administrative support for all things leave and benefits within the organization. They will support both managers and employees with all questions and administrative tasks related to benefit enrollment, short and long term leaves, and WCB.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Benefit enrollment, reconcilement, and other administrative tasks.
- Track and maintain our tiered benefit system.
- Manage long term disability claims and continuation of benefits for staff on leave.
- Create, track and audit leave reports, following up with managers and employees as needed.
- Support HR and Program Managers with WCB claim input, and follow-up. Act as a point of contact for the organization with WCB, escalate to HR Partner/Director as needed.
- Provide EI Support to staff
- Work closely with the Human Resources team on OHS strategy and goals.
- BSCS is more than a workplace. It is a community where everyone helps and contributes to the whole, and there is an expectation that all employees will take part in events (during the work week and occasionally during weekends and evenings). This includes fundraising campaigns, running community meals, medicine picking etc.
**Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in related field.
- 1 year experience in benefit and leave administration required.
- Previous experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
- Knowledge and/or willingness to learn about Indigenous culture and ways of being.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at once, work within tight deadlines and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months
- Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in a future course
