In support of this acquisition "BP Canada", has an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Product Line Manager - Roofing

**_ This position is designed to help develop and support our roofing business in both Canada and the United States. The main objective of this position is to seek growth opportunities within the residential roofing market as articulated in our strategic plan. The position comprises an important level of marketing related activities and, as such, will report directly to the Senior Roofing Product Manager. In addition, he or she, will work closely with the Sales, Technical and Manufacturing departments._**

**IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?** Roles and Responsibilities**

More specifically, the Roofing Product Line Manager will be responsible for:

- Undertaking and managing various competitive market analysis and surveys, drawing conclusions, and defining tactical plans designed in assisting sales in achieving corporate commercial objectives.
- Define the product strategy and roadmap for the roofing rolls products portfolio for the residential market.
- Defining new sustainable roofing product development opportunities in terms of their market needs, technical considerations, profit potential and speed with which the projects are brought to market.
- Developing tools necessary in the sales prospecting and development process.
- Manage technical data and documentation.
- Managing and undertaking follow-ups with Sales concerning KPIs and opportunities defined within sales plans.
- Recommending and implementing inventory optimization strategies including adding or deleting roofing roll SKUs based on market demand, inventory turns, products lifecycles and corporate guidelines.
- Articulating the value-proposition for the roofing rolls product portfolio; translate the value-proposition into a product/marketing plan with the intent of supporting sales and market development activities.
- Develop, implement and conduct a comprehensive training program for roofing contractors as well as for retailers, distributors and our own sales force.
- Attend pertinent industry shows and roofing associations meeting.

**What do you bring?**
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, similar discipline, or five (2) years of equivalent training and related experience in the building, construction industry.Communicating Effectively-written and orally, including presentation skills
- Decision Making & strong problem solving skills
- Exceptional at working in a collaborative team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other technology
- Bilingualism required as you will interact with colleagues throughout Canada
