**SUMMARY STATEMENT**:
To support people who have an intellectual disability to achieve their personal goals and facilitate relationships, skills and roles which promote people’s effective participation in the typical and valued life of the community.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
To ensure the effective operations of residential homes, including but not limited to; Support Plans, petty cash, personal finances of people, maintenance, staff attendance, supervision, performance management, health and safety, recruitment, scheduling and additional tasks as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be willing to work an on call rotation, evenings and weekends.

Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study
- Four years’ experience working with people who have an intellectual disability with a minimum of 2 years full time
- Previous Supervisory experience would be an asset
- Previous experience with dual diagnosis
- Comprehensive knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support Plans
- Previous experience supporting people who have mental health diagnosis and dealing with high anxiety situations
- Previous experience supporting people with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Ability to support complex medical needs
- Previous experience dealing with families and other outside agencies
- Knowledge of community resources and how to access them
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proven team leadership skills and ability to effectively provide a positive and professional teamwork environment
- Proficient with the use of computers
- Excellent communication skills
- Training in medication administration
- Sound knowledge of Personal Outcome Measures
- Current First Aid, CPR, & Non-violent Crisis Intervention certificates
- Proven use of CPI strategies including verbal de-escalation
- Valid G driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and valid insurance
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
