**Position Description**

The **Faculty of Kinesiology** at the University of Calgary is looking for a sessional instructor to teach **KNES 244** **'Sociology of Movement Cultures' in Spring 2023.**

**KNES 244 Course Description**:
This course is an introduction to sociological perspectives on movement cultures (e.g., sport, dance, physical education, exercise and fitness), with a particular focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Please note that the method of instruction for this course may be online. Applicants must have experience delivering courses in a remote setting, which includes evidence of successful use of online lectures, student participation channels and assessment methods.

**Teaching Responsibilities**:

- Instructor of record for the course including all grading and instruction.
- Strong proficiency with online instruction tools (e.g., Zoom, Yuja, D2L, etc.)
- Other assigned duties.
