**Sessional Instructor: ECOL 429, Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science**

**Position Description**:
**ECOL 429 - Ecology of Individuals**
ECOL 429 focuses on ecological and evolutionary perspectives related to physiology and behaviour. This course focuses on the influences on resource acquisition, maintenance, growth, and reproduction and their implications for survival and fertility.

**Delivery Mode**: All course components will be delivered in-person.

**Fall 2023 Term Dates**: August 28, 2023, to December 22, 2023.

**Qualifications**:
Evidence of teaching effectiveness and previous teaching experience, preferably in this course or in a similar course, is also required.
- Cover letter.
- Current curriculum vitae.
- Statement of teaching philosophy, including fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness.

**NOTE**: Applicants who have taught as a sessional instructor in the Faculty of Science within the past two years may choose to only submit a cover letter and current CV.

As per the Collective Agreement, the Department of Biological Sciences will adhere to the right of first refusal terms (Section 23.12.1 and 23.12.2) for Sessional Appointments.
