**Job Summary**

**What is the opportunity?**

What will you do?
- Execute and confirm trades on various financial instruments in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of trades, collaborating with custodians and counterparties.
- Conduct post trade reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Work closely with the compliance teams to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, other team members and other departments to support efficient trading operations.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of trading processes and workflows.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations and technological advancements in trading.
- Provide trade surveillance and ensure accuracy of portfolio holdings relative to the Investment Policy Statement.
- Work with Portfolio Manager to develop, maintain and rebalance the investment models.
- Assisting Portfolio Manager with market research as it relates to current positions and potential changes.
- Coordinate position maintenance, book cost accuracy and execution of corporate reorganizations.
- Monitor fixed income maturities for reinvestment.
- Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
- Support Advisor team and client throughout the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management activities and priorities.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must Have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related fields
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Previous experience in trading operations or related financial role
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in providing a very high level of client service

**Nice to Have**:

- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
- RR licensed with CIRO
- Chartered Investment Manager designation
