**Role Summary**:
The Human Resources Coordinator (Student) will be trained and mentored by full-time Human Resources Business Partners and the Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Coordinator (Student) is primarily responsible for Human Resources administration related to multiple client groups and employees to help address needs and ensure effective human resources services.

**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 Education or GED
- Enrollment in a University or College Certificate/Diploma program in the field of Human Resources.
- 1-2 year(s) experience in an administrative or clerical role is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills Advanced Knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- High level of Customer/Client service

**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsible for delivering Human Resources activities and projects assigned including the following:

- HR Administration and Filing
- Orientation and Training
- Monitoring of job posting policy
- Maintains employee personnel files
- Deals with employee concerns with respect to job security, fair treatment, safe and healthy workplace, fair wages and benefits, equity participation, and communication of information
- Assist the HR team with supervisor and employee monthly meetings
- Assist with the development and continual updating of company policies and interpretation, including employee handbook, supervisors manual, etc.
- Assist Human Resources Business Partners in the maintenance of interaction and communication with external organizations including Temp Agencies, government bodies, etc.
- Acts as a resource to supervisors/managers with regard to policies, legislation, Employee’s Charter, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of key reports to supervisors or others as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

**Additional Information**:
This may be a 4, 8, or 12-month term, dependent on the University’s or College's criteria.

Pay Rate: $24.96 per hour
