As a Trust Manager, you will contribute to the assumption, prospecting, development or maintenance of business relationships with members and clients as an expert in the administration of incapacitated persons and trust administration files. You provide services that meet the needs of the clientele according to the strategies and practices in effect.

You ensure legal monitoring and ongoing internal training while sitting on the fiduciary committee. You will read and analyze the will or mandate of protection for clients to provide the main legal orientations and explanations. You approve the devolution and the text of the inventory (succession, incapacity) or identify the beneficiaries and their respective rights to the capital and income (trusts) and you verify the legal acts (declarations of transmission, declarations of inheritance, leases, deeds of sale, motions in case of litigation, etc.).

You will also be called upon to evaluate the matrimonial situation and to prepare the documents to this effect; to evaluate the client's corporate situation (updating of minute books, REQ...), to approve the fiduciary minutes (for particular decisions) and to revise the statements of account presented to the clients for approval and signature. You will be responsible for assigning files to the Senior Trustees and will be responsible for deciding which professional to outsource specific issues to (e.g., litigation counsel) and ensuring follow-up (production, billing, etc.). You will also be responsible for coordinating the overall activities of a file with the team members.

You will act as a specialist and resource person for your unit and its members and clients, and represent your unit before the authorities. You participate in the representation and commitment of the company in the context of large-scale agreements with clients.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities- Evaluate and seize business development and partnership opportunities in order to increase the development and profitability of the company- Advise and support members, clients and stakeholders in the positioning, planning, development, implementation and follow-up of the various strategic mandates under your responsibility- Ensure the development, retention and satisfaction of members, clients and stakeholders. Develop various strategies and tactics to ensure retention- Monitor the market in order to understand and anticipate trends in your field of expertise and make appropriate recommendations.

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law- A minimum of six years of relevant experience- Experience in property and trust administration (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- Member of the Chambre des notaires or the Quebec Bar- Member of Step Canada (an important asset)- Securities Course (CSC) (an asset)- Financial planner designation (an asset)- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge- Upper intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
