ACT has a strong reputation for innovative work; we use online technology to provide live conferences, free online videos, and the Autism Information Database. ACT provides practical, evidence-based resources and training to allow informed individualized decision-making.

ACT is seeking interest from exemplary applicants to join its dynamic team as _Administration, Events, and Marketing Coordinator._ Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing and Events Coordinator will be a member of a cohesive team of highly skilled professionals.

As one of seven team members, you have superior interpersonal and communication skills and a high degree of professional credibility within the Autistic community. You have respectful, collaborative relationships with children and their families, the broader community, and your colleagues.

As Events and Marketing Coordinator, you will work closely with the members of the ACT team as well as the Autistic and Indigenous Advisory committees and conference presenters to shape, promote, and execute ACT’s events and programs. The Administration Event and Marketing Coordinator takes the lead in planning, coordinating, and hosting live and web-streamed events and training. Major components of this work include the development and distribution of communications, researching, analyzing, determining and implementing strategies to market and host events, media production and communication, and efficient allocation of resources.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Event Related:

- Processing and tracking event registration details (i.e., registration numbers and fees).
- Processing, tracking, and communicating with the Autism Funding Unit regarding funding requests.
- Processing, tracking, reviewing and distributing registration bursaries
- Coordinating and executing live and streamed events.
- Coordinating with event service providers, including, but not limited to booking presenter hotels, catering, CART Captioning, ASL Interpreters, and related tasks.
- Preparing and tracking event budgets.
- Engaging with tact and diplomacy with individuals who may be emotionally distressed.
- Providing weekly registration updates and adjusting marketing campaigns accordingly.
- Onboarding, liaising with, and directing event volunteers.
- Preparing staff internal event plans before live training events, and delegating tasks accordingly.

Marketing Related:

- Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of ACT’s communications strategies and adjusting as necessary.
- Working in collaboration with ACT Staff to accomplish shared tasks and goals as they arise. 
- Marketing and promoting content created by others (Google advertising, Facebook advertising)
- Monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of ACT’s communication strategies and adjusting as necessary.

Required experience:

- University degree or equivalent training and experience
- 2 or more years in a similar role (e.g., event planning and execution, Marketing)
- Excellent organization, planning and project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in the context of customer service
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office suite, including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of autism and the ability to write about issues that affect neurodiverse individuals.
- BC Drivers Licence with access to vehicle
- A clear Criminal Record Check
- Ability to lift boxes up to 30 lbs (event materials)

Desired Experience
- Knowledge of autism/ development disabilities/ mental health
- Experience writing articles, blog posts, and social media posts
- Experience planning and executing marketing campaigns
- Knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and Microsoft CRM
- Knowledge of a second language widely spoken in BC, is an asset
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other Non-Linear Editing software.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 pm with occasional weekends and evening work. This position is a hybrid position based at ACT’s Burnaby office (3823 Henning Drive, Suite 120B, Burnaby, BC V5C 6P3), with a remote work option.
