The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) project is a pillar of enabling exemplary patient experience and quality of care and therefore see this not as an information technology initiative, but as one founded in clinical transformation and care redesign.**
**Job Profile**:
**The EPR Project Manager II will be responsible for overseeing projects related to Unity Health¿s EPR implementation. This includes integration from existing systems to the new Epic solution as well as implementation of upgrades and new functionality within existing systems. This role will work closely with the larger Epic project team to ensure alignment with the overall project timelines and goals.**
**Main Responsibilities**:
**Plan and develop all aspects of medium scale projects**
- **
Liaises with the department leadership to obtain the vision and goals for projects; utilizes information received to facilitate planning, development and implementation process**:
- ** Ensures appropriate mechanisms are in place for the optimal delivery of projects, including best practices guidelines and tools for the effective management and execution of projects**:
- ** Conducts needs assessment for medium size projects to facilitate defining project plans, deliverables, schedules/timelines to meet identified goals**:
- ** Communicates intermediate level project plan and project expectations independently to team members and stakeholders, in a timely and clear fashion to ensure project goals can be optimally achieved**
**Lead Project implementations across medium scale projects**
- ** Develops and leads the implementation process for medium scale project plans, that will ensure the optimal delivery, execution and implementation of project goals, including**:
- ** Establishing/developing and implementing a project communication plan that meets the needs of established project**:
- ** Creating an action plan for medium size projects to facilitate project implementation, utilizing best practices guidelines and appropriate tools**:
- ** Playing a lead role in coordinating activities and managing deliverables to ensure project meets established goals while ensuring compliance with corporate goals and practices**:
- ** Managing deliverables that generally poses mínimal issue, ensuring associated project activities are well coordinated, organized, etc.**:
- ** Providing ongoing tracking and monitoring of project activities, identifying/resolving issues and concerns that may hamper project activities, utilizing information to develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, predictions, etc.**
**Managing staff and testing resources**
- ** Participates actively and/or fully in the identification and selection of appropriate project staff**:
- ** Directs and motivates project staff to ensure accountabilities and performance goals are met**:
- ** Delegates responsibilities and work assignments for project staff while implementing strategies that will foster a productive work environment**:
- ** Builds a team environment and a culture built on mutual respect/trust to facilitate a productive work environment**:
- ** Provides knowledge transfer for the project team, where appropriate to facilitate the optimal/timely completion of projects; and ensure collaboration and coordination**
**Monitoring and Controlling**
- ** Initiates and oversees the development, drafting and execution of medium scale project protocol/strategies, including EPR integrated testing, to capture and present moderately complex information**:
- ** Maintains **regular documentation and updates to effectively lead, manage and facilitate the documentation process, deliverables and communication process to ensure stakeholders are informed, including**:

- **Organizing and chairing medium scale meetings, as required to provide updates on project status**:
- ** Organizing, chairing and/or meeting directly with the Project Director and other relevant parties to collect relevant information and gain a better understanding of project requirement**
**Ensure quality standards are met**
- ** Promotes an atmosphere of continuous quality improvement for all activities pertaining to medium scale projects, while supporting a culture of learning and continuous quality improvement for staff through shared educational opportunities to ensure optimal quality outcomes**:
- ** Collaborates with relevant parties in the development of evidence based measurement and metrics to benchmark performance against industry standards and peer organizations**:
- ** Monitors performance indicators and provide strategies to correct variances**
**Qualifications**:
