Unity Health Toronto is embarking on a multi-year digital, clinical transformation project to implement a new electronic patient record solution across all sites. The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) project is a pillar of enabling exemplary patient experience and quality of care and therefore see this not as an information technology initiative, but as one founded in clinical transformation and care redesign.

**Job Profile**
The EPR Project Manager III will be responsible for managing and overseeing all Medical Imaging/Diagnostic Imaging projects related to Unity Health's EPR implementation. This includes integration from existing systems (e.g. PACS) to the new Epic solution as well as implementation of upgrades and new functionality within existing systems. This role will work closely with the larger Epic project team to ensure alignment with the overall project timelines and goals.

**Main Responsibilities**
Planning and developing all aspects of large scale projects
- Utilizes full understanding/knowledge of large scale/broad/ complex scope projects to facilitate the optimal development of large scale/complex projects that will have an impact on multiple areas throughout the Hospital;
- Conducts sophisticated needs assessment to facilitate defining project scope, goals, plans, deliverables, schedules/ timelines, etc., including, researching and analyzing information, best practices and other relevant initiatives to facilitate large scale project proposals;
- Designs, manages and directs short and long term project plans and actions to ensure projects are appropriately planned, delivered on time/on budget and in compliance with legislated requirement;
- Designs, develops and manages the execution of large/sophisticated communication(s) plans and other strategies that will advance project goals and objectives, ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place to effective monitor and evaluate project activities and facilitate the optimal deliver of projects;

Leading project implementation for large scale projects
- Relies on and uses full understanding/knowledge of project implementation characteristics to facilitate the effective management/implementation of large scale projects and the communication process to ensure clients and other relevant parties are kept in the loop;
- Develops and leads the project implementation process for large scale/complex project plans that will ensure the optimal delivery, execution and implementation of project goals/initiatives including:

- Establishing, developing and implementing a large-scale project communication plan that meets the need of a complex project;
- Identifying, developing and implementing best practices guidelines and appropriate tools for the optimal/effective delivery of large and/or multiple projects;
- Developing and implementing optimal/appropriate interfacing opportunities with identified support groups, Directors, Managers, Professional Practice and other relevant parties to roll out project initiatives/specifics, while ensuring compliance with corporate goals and practices;
- Taking the lead in managing deliverables related to assigned projects, including tracking project milestones/ deliverables, ensuring all associated project activities are well coordinated, organized, etc., to ensure the smooth implementation of project objectives/activities;

Managing large scale project staff
- Strategizes with the Manager and Director on recruitment efforts for key project positions to ensure the project team possesses the required technical and other relevant skills to contribute to the success of the project(s);
- Develops and executes a project plans/strategy for effectively building, attracting, hiring, managing, developing some of this seems like the Manager's role.
- Collaborate with the manager and motivating an effective project team, while working to ensure fair/equitable hiring practices are employed, in accordance with the Hospitals mission and values, implementing strategies to build/foster a team environment built on a culture of respect/trust;
- Demonstrates effective interviewing skills to facilitate the optimal identification/selection of appropriate project staff;
- Delegates project tasks and responsibilities to project staff, in a timely manner, providing direction/leadership for the project team as a coach and mentor; defining and delegating project tasks/accountabilities while directing and supporting the achievement of performance goals;

Monitoring and Controlling
- Initiates and oversees the development, drafting and execution of sophisticated large scale project protocol/strategies to capture and present complex and/or sensitive information;
- Project documentation and reporting
- Develops and/or oversees the appropriate collection and documentation of relevant/essential data/information that can be utilized by large scale diverse project team, including the preparation of sophisticated data collection forms for the appropriate captur
