**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the Associate Dean, Student Success, the Manager, Outreach and Engagement oversees outreach and recruitment initiatives, while developing, maintaining, and implementing a strategic plan to ensure current Faculty goals are being met. Fosters industry partnerships and manages financial needs and engagement with stakeholders. Manages dayto-day operations of the Outreach and Engagement team.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Proficient in managing a moderate-sized team, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capable of strategic thinking and decision-making aligned with university goals, with knowledge of diplomatic protocol.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, including strong outreach, writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Experienced in engaging underrepresented groups in engineering and technology professions, with a focus on youth.
- Familiarity with Ontario university educational system, admissions criteria, and programs, with previous interaction with secondary school-aged students preferred.
- Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and judgment, able to recognize and pursue strategic opportunities.
- Works well collaboratively as part of a team, while also capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to change direction as necessary to meet goals.
- Knowledgeable about the university’s strategic priorities, goals, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively interact with youth in a positive manner.

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Honours undergraduate degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Science, Education, Business, or Management. Master's degree preferred, with a passion for STEM.
- Minimum four years of experience in a similar role, ideally in academic or non-profit settings. Must have experience in program development, team management, budgeting, and stakeholder interaction. Familiarity with higher education recruitment processes is essential.
