**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Partnership/Relationship Management and Business Development**:
- Take on the responsibility of fund development for NZF through campaigns, networking, donor engagement, and other growth strategies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with various external stakeholders including businesses, imams, and NGO representatives.
- Support identifying and pursuing business development opportunities to expand NZF's reach and impact.
- Attend and represent NZF at community meetings, events, and functions to foster relationships and partnerships.
- Work alongside the marketing team to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors for NZF.
**Event and Community Engagement**:
- Assist in the planning, organizing, and executing of NZF-hosted events and participate in external events in various capacities such as sponsorships, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns.
- Manage event booth set-up and tear-down, ensuring the proper care, security, and placement of all event materials and collaterals including banners, brochures, flyers, and merchandise.
- Coordinate a team of 50-100 volunteers, assigning tasks and responsibilities for different events, and manage volunteer schedules and tasks during the events.
- Oversee the promotional and marketing materials inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels and use at each event.
- Collaborate closely with the NZF team, especially other Regional Managers, to ensure seamless event operations and volunteer coordination.
- The Regional Manager Officer may be required to take the lead at certain events or days when other regional managers are unavailable.
- Assist in Zakat and Sadaqah collection efforts and distribution of NZF materials (online and offline)
**Networking and partnerships**
- Act as a brand representative for NZF in all professional activities including participation at community events, masjid announcements, meetings, and interactions with stakeholders, etc.
- Participate in social, networking, PR & media events as a representative of NZF including TV, newspaper, and radio outlets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local imams across the region to gain support for various Zakat initiatives.
- Frequently connect and meet with external organizations and Masajid for outreach, collaboration, and funding
**Major Gifts**:
- Cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and major donors.
- Identify and qualify potential major donors who align with the organization's mission and values.
- Develop personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies for major donors.
- Solicit major gifts through one-on-one meetings, presentations, and donor proposals.
- Steward major donors through ongoing communication, recognition, and engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to integrate major gifts into overall fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Maintain accurate donor records and track interactions using donor management software.
- Prepare regular reports on major gift pipelines, progress, and outcomes for senior leadership and board members.
**ADMINISTRATIVE, REPORTING & AD HOC**
- Maintain an up-to-date database of partners, supporters, and collaborators.
- Report on business development targets and achievements every month.
- Provide quarterly updates and report on KPIs to senior leadership team.
- Support establishment of NZF in new regions across Canada
- Travel to other regions as required (by road or air)
- Attend all team meetings and trainings as required.
- Develop and update outreach and PR guide for regional managers.
**Qualifications/Experiences**:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic or English and Urdu is an asset
- Basic knowledge of Zakat is required
- High computer literacy is a requirement
- Ability to effectively speak and present in small and large audience settings is a requirement
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
- Self-driven individual with the ability to self-manage
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required
- Flexible schedule is required for evenings and weekends
