**Human Resource Business Partner**

**Position **Summary**

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources (HR), the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) collaborates cross-functionally with CBA National Office staff to drive and deliver value-added human resource services to internal stakeholders. The HRBP will lead the development of a diverse array of organizational development, and HR processes and initiatives to support employee retention and engagement, including researching and analyzing best practices, preparing training material, and presenting training and information sessions to staff. The HRBP will lead the development and integrate a data-driven approach to employee lifecycle management processes in consultation with internal stakeholder groups, to support strategic workforce planning initiatives, HR policy development, and employee engagement. The HRBP will support continuous improvement in data collection and reporting of KPIs and metrics. Additionally, the HRBP will oversee and provide advice to other members of the HR team on regulatory and compliance issues, day-to-day HR functions, and HR services for internal stakeholders. The position requires a high level of interaction with senior management, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

**Annual Salary**

$75,000 per year

**Responsibilities**
- Lead research and analysis of organizational and employee trends, develop and improve strategic data-driven employee lifecycle management processes
- Collect, analyze and interpret HR metrics in support of retention and employee engagement
- Lead cross-functional analysis of HR program development initiatives, deliver additional efficiency and value to internal stakeholders, oversee change management for HR processes
- Ensure compliance with legislation such as Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Pay Equity Act, and Employment Standards Act
- Conduct data collection and review the effectiveness of day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, training, payroll, and employee relations to improve HR processes
- Conceive and design data collection process for recruiting, onboarding, performance review and offboarding pan-organization, to advise senior management on best practices
- Analyze and interpret organizational policies, benefit administration, compensation and job evaluation to advise executives and managers on best practices to support employee relations
- Lead and develop equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI) initiatives pan-organization
- Advise internal stakeholders on interpretation and administration of collective agreement
- Liaise with external consultants, vendors, and service providers to find financial efficiencies in support of providing best service value to employees and national office staff
- Oversee and provide advice on accommodation and return to work process
- Administer medical benefits and pension program
- Conduct research and analysis in order to provide resolutions to employee relation issues
- Conduct and report on internal investigations
- Attend and oversee union-management meetings
- Supervise other HR staff on a temporary basis
- Other duties and projects as assigned

**Qualifications**

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Human Resources, Labour Relations or equivalent
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is an asset
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset

**Experience**
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a HR Generalist or HR Specialist
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing direct reports
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading data-driven HR metric development and analysis
- Minimum 2 years’ experience conducting investigations and dispute resolution
- In-depth knowledge of HR compliance, organizational development, employee training and development and labour relations required
- Experience in the development and use of measurement frameworks and reporting metrics
- Experience designing and preparing pan-organization reports, including data collection, data analysis and interpretation
- Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide HR advice and resolve complex policy and collective agreement disputes with internal stakeholders
- Ability to build consensus among management, unionized membership, and key internal stakeholders with complex needs and interests, having impacts of a strategic nature pan-organization
- Strong research and analysis skills to support development of new and/or novel data-driven HR processes with pan-organizational impacts
- Ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced
