**Full Job Description**

**Summary**:
As a member of the Front of House Sales Team, you will contribute to the success of the store by participating to the business objectives of the store set out by their Supervisor. The Front of House Sales Team is responsible for building relationships with clients in the department and providing high quality workmanship and service that ensures customer satisfaction. They ensure that the department sales consistently meets budget and performance expectations in terms of customer experience, sales growth, retail execution and profitability.

**Main Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Encourage and maintain a culture that values excellent customer service to all customers through effective performance.
- Holds self accountable for providing an excellent customer experience and recognizes areas to excel in it.
- Leads by example and consistently delivers an excellent customer experience.
- Implements and follows store policies and procedures that deliver a high-quality customer experience.
- Maintain quality in showroom presentation, and ensure performance requirements are met.
- Ensure department is appropriately maintined as per direction from Supervisor according to store budget and customer needs.
- Adhere to plans and participates with daily/weekly store activities as well as seasonal changeovers and works with the team to execute them.
- Works with team members in daily departmental operations in order to meet established productivity goals set out by Supervisor.
- Communicates and ensures compliance with company and store policies, as well as health and safety programs and regulations.
- Assists in store opening and closing responsibilities.
- Coachable and has the willingness to learn new retail operational processes and procedures to aquire new skills in order to improve performance. Regularly accepts informal and constructive feedback.
- Addresses issues and conflicts in a timely manner.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in retail sales, execution and operations.
- Good working knowledge of department products and functions.
- Demonstrated supervisory, leadership experience or relevant experience.
- Ability to operate a cash register.
- Results-oriented individual who thrives on achieving challenging goals.
- Ability to serve customers in a professional manner and to inspire their confidence and trust.
- Ability to lead a team to achieve common goals in a fast-paced environment in the abscence of the Supervisor.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and coach others as well as provide feedback.
- Ability to plan, organize, delegate and follow up on team's activities and projects.
- Ability to find solutions to problems and make decisions.
- Ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging situations.
- Steel toed boots.
- Some estimating experience.

**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**
- Standing/walking for 8 hours.
- Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis. Merchandise items may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy" up to 50lbs.

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
