**The Team**

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Manage & lead the process of creating and/or implementing a Procurement and Materials Management system within SharePoint Lists.
- Maintain constant and clear communication with project leads and field operations.
- Oversee remote warehouse logistics & operations including inventory stock levels and ingoing/outgoing shipments.
- Look at the whole project to anticipate project inventory needs, order timelines, potential procurement/supply chain issues, etc.
- Create various templates and flow charts to aid in the procurement process.
- Research, plan, issue, and monitor purchase orders (PO) for materials and consumables with our suppliers, including monitoring pricing changes, seasonality, and global impacts.
- Receive purchased goods and organize invoicing & shipping documents for accounting.
- Manage & coordinate order pickup, delivery, and logistics, including picking up local orders, determining appropriate shipping methods, coordinating with customs brokers & carriers on import shipments, instructing vendors to utilize economies in packing, and tracking the timeliness of deliveries.
- Confirm orders received are correct, undamaged, and with accompanying paperwork.
- Process claims against vendors through a Vendor Non-Conformance process.
- Build supplier relationships and negotiate account contracts to ensure that the company obtains optimal value in pricing, lead times, and quantities.
- Evaluate suppliers based on their quality and on-time delivery performance and updates Operations/Project Leads with supplier analysis and recommendations.
- Update client’s inventory tracking (Wrike), as required by projects.
- Responsible for updating the the inventory system as required, including pricing, inventory analysis, schedule requirements, etc.
- Responsible for inventory control and bills of materials, such as determining material classification, frequency of usage, safety stock, stock locations, criticality, and lead times.
- Issue materials used in production daily, check for accurate inventory levels and account for discrepancies between the system and physical stock.
- Coordinate & supervise quarterly inventory counts.
- Work closely with Operations in sourcing/purchasing material/parts and samples from offshore facilities and local vendors.
- Organize and prepare information/reports for team meetings and use the information to direct purchasing activities.
- Could involve regular trips to the Campbell River Warehouse or other material storage locations.
- Other tasks assigned by the Business Service and/or Permitting & Projects teams.
- A valid BC driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Excellent communication skills and command of the English language.
- Full professional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint. We are in the process of creating an inventory system need an expert to assist with creating process flow and automation.
- Working towards or obtained a Professional certification in supply chain management, procurement, contracting, business management, commerce, or administration.
- Experience (3-5 years) with inventory, procurement and materials/supply chain management in an industrial setting is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge and ongoing awareness of purchasing and logistics.
- Proficiency in the planning and control of work in a multi-project, deadline-driven environment with continuous supply chain issues.
- Experience with Wrike and Power BI is considered an asset but not required.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is an asset but not required.
- Interested in or experience with engineering, telecommunications, fibre optics or EPC/EPCM style projects would be preferred.
- Effective communication in an open and direct manner; conveys information clearly and concisely, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, including data entry.
- Comfortable working both in an office and warehouse setting.
- Covid-19 vaccinations are required.
