DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process payments for assigned groups CAS
- Assists with salary verification process annually prior to our Clients renewal date.
- Follows up with returned payments for assigned groups.
- Responds to telephone inquiries and written correspondence relating to group life enrollment in an efficient and professional manner.
- Process and maintain group’s pre-authorized debit and member’s direct deposit information
- Forwards COB information to appropriate department
- Maintains files for assigned life groups
- Review first bill for new Life clients.
- Review and reconcile Self Admin payments
- Updates and maintains the life group enrollment procedures (Confluence)
- Investigate and correct data error report.
- Ensure Life documentation is maintained in a secure and confidential manner.
- Review the Life Billing reports and make required adjustments.
- Identifies opportunities for process efficiency improvements and recommends process changes.
- Corrects member update error report.
- Provides backup and assists other Client Service representatives
- Prepares cash vouchers for payments received without payment statement form.
- Attends, prepares for and participates in scheduled meeting with both internal and external customers
- Collects relevant data for unusual enrollment situations by pulling Group Agreements and/or calling group administrators or members to obtain additional information. Communicates and proposes recommendations to Supervisor.
- Other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
- University Degree or Community College Diploma in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years related experience.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills
- Previous administrative experience an asset
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Dedicated to the principles of exceptional service, committed to responding to, anticipating, and addressing customer needs, for both internal and external customers
- Strong analytical problem solving and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deal with all levels within the organization in a team environment and external customers.
- Self-directed, with exceptional organizational skills and a proven record of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks within varied and dynamic timelines on an ongoing basis.
- Ability to understand and diagnose complex administrative processes and situations through diplomatic and collaborative probing, investigation, and interaction involving all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, assess and provide options and make recommendations on matters of procedure and policy.
- Capable of completing industry education programs entailing self-directed study and the writing of graded examinations. Specific programs include but are not limited to LOMA, CEBS, and ICA. Discipline-specific study may be required in areas such as accounting, credit management, communication, etc. Enrollment in, and completion of, such courses will be encouraged.
