Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) is a highly entrepreneurial foundation, created by the federal government. Our mission is to be a catalyst and convenor for the cleantech ecosystem in Canada. We do this by investing in projects that are pre-commercial and have the potential to demonstrate significant and quantifiable environmental and economic benefits in one or more of the following areas: climate change, clean air, clean water and clean soil.

**Purpose**:
Join our small but mighty communications team in their mission to spread the word about SDTC and its wide portfolio of sustainable tech companies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Research, write, and edit communications materials (e.g., newsletters, digital communications, briefing notes).
- Become the Editor-in-Chief of our internal newsletter.
- Create planning calendars and develop content and graphics.
- Execute and help evolve our social media strategy.
- Plan, create content and execute strategic social media campaigns.
- Manage daily interactions across our various social media platforms to build and engage our desired online community.
- Assist with SDTC’s social media/editorial calendar to ensure a steady flow of published content through our social media channels.
- Drive social media measurement: use metrics and analytics to identify new content marketing opportunities and reporting to management.
- Work with the Communications team to support needs of the team and to seek areas of personal growth and interest.
- Have the opportunity to work on a self-directed project.

**Experience and Educational Requirements**:
3rd or 4th year Communications or Marketing student preferred.

**Technical Requirements**:

- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint.
- Experience using Canva or any graphic software a plus.
- Well-versed in social media.

**Non-Technical Requirements**:

- Excellent written and oral communications skills - in both English and French.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to extract and synthesize key messages.
- Effective organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as required.
- Positive attitude and curiosity.

**Vos responsabilités principales**:

- Rédiger et mettre à jour des documents de communication (infolettre, courriels, notes d’information).
- Devenez le-la redacteur-rice en chef de notre infolettre interne.
- Créer des calendriers de planification et développer du contenu et des graphiques.
- Exécuter et aider à faire évoluer notre stratégie de médias sociaux.
- Planifier, créer du contenu et exécuter des campagnes stratégiques sur les réseaux sociaux.
- Gérer les interactions quotidiennes sur nos différentes plateformes de médias sociaux pour créer et engager notre communauté.
- Aider avec le calendrier éditorial et des médias sociaux de TDDC pour assurer qu’un flux constant de contenu soit publié sur nos médias sociaux.
- Analyser les statistiques relatives aux médias sociaux pour identifier de nouvelles opportunités en termes de contenu, puis fournir des rapports à la direction.
- Travailler avec l’équipe des communications pour répondre aux besoins de l’équipe de TDDC.
- Avoir l’occasion de travailler sur un projet de votre choix.
