**Please note**:
This is a hybrid position in Calgary or Toronto and requires in-person collaboration at the office a minimum of 3 days per week. This provides flexibility the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues. Specific days in the office are agreed upon by the team.

**Role Overview**: As a Research Advisor on WestJet's Strategic Insights Team, you will play a crucial role in understanding and improving the guest experience across WestJet. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to WestJet's strategic initiatives by providing actionable insights that drive improvements across our guests’ journey with WestJet. We are curious, creative, and committed to positive cross-functional collaboration. The Research Advisor will execute the guest listening strategy and oversee day-to-day insights generation across WestJet’s Voice of Guest listening posts. This individual will work closely with stakeholders across WestJet’s Commercial and Operations groups.
**Key Deliverables**:
- Integrate data and insights to drive guest experience improvements and value creation.
- Proactively identify insights needs in partnership with peers and business leadership; create research plans and insights programs that address both ad-hoc and ongoing business needs.
- Implement creative solutions, including new methodologies, emerging analysis, reporting, and storytelling techniques.
- Ensure quality control through proofing, data quality checks, and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
- Serve as the primary liaison between WestJet and external insights partners/agencies, ensuring high-quality deliverables across all projects.
- Provide expert-level quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including advanced methodologies such as regression analysis, conjoint analysis, and thematic analysis.
- Develop concise reports and dashboards to simplify complex research findings while incorporating relevant secondary information.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in social sciences, mathematics, business, or a similar field (Master’s degree is an asset).
- 5+ years of experience in the research process, including methodology design, recruitment, data analysis, and reporting.
- Expertise in net promoter score (NPS), customer feedback, concept/product research, customer journey mapping, and competitive benchmarking.
- Proven ability to analyze complex information and communicate insights effectively.
- Experience working with executives and external partners, with the ability to advise on actionable research findings.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple high-priority initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as advanced analyses (e.g., regression analysis, conjoint analysis, cluster analysis).
- Experience with online survey and data analysis platforms such as Medallia, Alchemer, and SPSS
